On New Year’s Day we decided to order pizza from our favourite Pizza Nova location at Mount Pleasant and Eglinton and drive to pick it up. The demand for pizza 7pm that particular day was so crazy that my usual wait time of 20 minutes was closer to 40 minutes. Not a problem. The pizza makers were apologetic and friendly and I could see how hard and fast they were all working to keep up with the unrelenting demand. They had no less than 12-16 pizzas baking at once and all 3 delivery guys were kept busy. I was impressed with their team work and positive attitudes. The whole production resembled a well-choreographed ballet!

While I was waiting, I read the story of the company’s history, the owner and his son. I had no idea how involved they are with schools and charities.

My family will ONLY eat Pizza Nova pizza. My youngest daughter (aged 12) would not participate in pizza day at her old school because they only offered (company name omitted), a brand she strongly dislikes.

“Thanks for calling! Actually, the pizza was so good, I called back that same evening and ordered one more!!!!”
